A new collection of 3 and 4 ply fabrics woven from a classic plain weave construction. Available in two weights, both fabric qualities are equally suitable for wear in warmer climates.
The construction and coarse characteristics of the 3 and 4 ply yarns provide Airesco fabrics with an open but extremely durable structure. The openness allows both air and light to penetrate through the small pathways laid by the coarse intertwining threads. These bold, distinct qualities influence the appearance of the fabric and enrich its performance; they are the key reasons these fabrics allow the body to regulate its temperature, keeping it comfortable and cool in the warmest of climates.
Those who work with wool fabrics will be aware they possess an element of natural stretch. However, in this collection we have added a group of “Comfort Stretch” fabrics. Comfort Stretch is a fabric finish that offers a wider range of movement during wear, allowing clothing to feel less restrictive and fit more comfortably. Comfort Stretch also allows the tailor to mould and manipulate the fabric to produce a structured garment that’s more forgiving when worn.
With their bold look, crisp handle and soft contrasting hues of classic blues, traditional greys contemporary reds and the ever-popular greens, these fabrics are very different in character to most other fabrics in the Holland & Sherry collection.
